After the reading strategies, we discussed the article and the current event as it relates to To Kill a Mockingbird.
After the discussion, we reviewed study questions and I answered questions students had about those.
At the end of class, I introduced the 3D map group activity (see assignments/TKAM for complete instructions) and students were given time to start forming groups and brainstorming ideas for the project.
HW: Read Ch 9, add map details to your list so you have a total of 20 (details and page numbers from the book that describe parts of the setting to be used to build the map)
NB due tomorrow; quiz tomorrow; see below for list of items due in the notebook.
